Bees Costa del Sol

Bees

Bees quite rightly are protected in Spain, and much of Europe too. We have an ethical stance with regards to their welfare they should wherever possible be left alone unless they are causing an extreme nuisance.

The benefits that we gain from bees are immeasurable and we have only scratched the surface. Only in extreme cases would we consider attending a bee problem, and even then if it were at all possible we would remove them. We have a qualified bee keeper to do this, and this specialist work is carried out strictly by appointment. We would consider eradicating a colony of bees only in very extreme cases where all other alternatives have been exhausted and life/health is at risk.

There are about 20,000 different species of bees in the world. Bees live in colonies and there are three types of bees in each colony. There is the queen bee, the worker bee and the drone.
